Hi,
It is a common complaint, but it rarely signifies underlying pathology. Medical consultation may be sought because of abnormal wetness, a change in the pattern or amount of sweating, sweaty palms, stained clothing, or offensive odour.
Axillary hyperhidrosis may be cured with surgical removal of the glands in the axillae. Studies suggest that liposuction of the axillae may remove the sweat glands without altering the normal architecture. Palmar sweating may respond to sympathectomy, which can be performed endoscopically. This is a much less invasive procedure than it once was, thanks to newer instrumentation.
Botulinum A neurotoxin (Botox) has been used successfully for both axillary and palmar hyperhidrosis. Intradermal injection of Botox results in long-term reduction in sweating in both locations. When Botox is injected into the palm, some patients experienced reversible minor weakness in their handgrip.
For axillary sweating, recommend frequent washing and changes of clothing.

What is the permanent treatment for axillary hyperhidrosis?
See the 2nd and 3rd link link below for permanent treatments. However, before putting your destiny in the hands of others, I´d suggest you research ways of mastering this (extremely irritating and often debilitating) condition yourself. Why? Because external solutions are rarely a satisfying answer. Ask those who had surgery on their stomach. 9 Out of 10 will tell you they wished they would have had the patience find a program that allowed them to be in charge and they would have chosen to replace fatty foods for healthier lifestyle with exercise. And allowing more time to develop a permanent solution with them in charge so in the end never were cut up or screwed up by side effects: short and long term. Surgery or medicine all impact on your system indefinitely. Using those is all beyond your control and can get out of hand because what if nature decides later on to stop the Hyperhidrosis? You can´t undo the treatment, can you? Meanwhile you lack certain pathways in your glandular system giving you all sorts of trouble. Something you won´t see relevant now because you are fed up and want resolve. This is understandable but you will find out later that you wish if only you could turn back the clock.
Anyway, trust your intuition since your subconscious is your best friend once you know how to listen. Find ways to become master over your own body through physical exercise, eating good stuff and start doing stress- reducing sports such as Tai-Chi, meditation, yoga, swimming. Also engage in activities that takes focus away from your own person. Make sure that you start reading nice books with kind clever stories and stop watching these no brain violent films. Watch comedies and intelligent drama instead. Get interested in other people´s lifes and achievements. Once you get in balance physically and emotionally your glandular and hormonal system can reset itself. By the way are you using meds at the moment ? Check out the first link : some can trigger this condition. But who knows, a simple surgical procedure can help and Bob´s your uncle. Think about it though before having anything done. Very Very Carefully.
Reply:Hyperhidrosis can be caused by food allergies, or a mineral/vitamin deficiency. I had it for a long time before learning this.
Check out this article about hyperhidrosis, grains, and sugars. Scroll about halfway down the page.

I had hyperhidrosis and other symptoms for many years. I tried all the usual treatments including ETS surgery, prescriptions, antiperspirants, botox, etc. The surgery was most helpful but several years later hyperhidrosis began to return.
This year I was diagnosed with food allergies due to celiac disease. I eliminated wheat, dairy, and sugar from my diet. I stopped all prescriptions and began taking supplements with B Vitamins, Folic Acid, magnesium and other minerals.
