What does NHS Cover?

Does the NHS cover Botox injections for Hyperhidrosis? If not does any know the costs involved privately, and how often it needs to be done. Thank you in advance for any answers!

What does NHS Cover?
It may be available in your area on the NHS for this valid and non-cosmetic indication, provided the condition is severe and you are not too young.
Reply:Yes I'm sure they do cover this if it is interferring significantly with your life!
Reply:i don't know if they cover botox. go and se your GP and they will tell you. if not, to go privete will probably cost a lot.
Reply:Yes it does if the doctor considers a medical need. You will have to be referred to a dermatologist who will assess your condition and offer the injections if suitable for your condition. To have it done privately would cost around £200 depending on the amount of injecting needed and usually this needs to be repeated every 3 - 6 months to maintain clinical effectiveness.
