i have a condition called palmar hyperhidrosis excessively sweaty hands) im scared to have a boyfriend, because what if they try to hold my hand? what do i do???

Reply:Don't worry about it. The odds are he won't even notice. If he does, you can tell him. If he is a good guy, he won't care. If it bothers him, then you don't want to mess with him anyway. In a way, you are lucky... you have a way to screen the good guys from the bad. And, you could carry a lace handkerchief... ladies used to carry them all the time.
Reply:Just tell him the truth, if he truly loves you then he shouldn't care.
Reply:Tell him you don't like holding hands he may not ask you why if he does tell him. Its really not that big a deal especially if your no longer in high school.

Reply:Wipe it off with your pants, easy, if still sweaty, wash your hands. IF STILL SWEATY, you are screwed, sorry, unless he doesn't notice.

There is one home remedy you can do but I don't guarantee your sweaty palms will be healed. You get a used tea bag, right, and just hold it in your hand for 5 - 10 minutes and don't wash it after, just wipe it with tissue or something. I haven't done this in a long time and I already forgot what the result was, it is worth a try.


And, I read, too that some find relief in using anti-perspirant. Though the kind of antiperspirant that works on clammy hands should contain aluminum chlorohydrate, the active drying ingredient.


If all fails, consult your doctor. They will inject something in your palms that will kill or paralyze the cells or hormones that causes sweaty palms.

Reply:Just tell him- if he had the guts to ask you out then he sure has the guts to except you have sweaty hands.its not a big deal
Reply:Honesty is the best policy. Make your date aware of your condition right from the start, it is not like you have a STD or anything. If your date is not prepared to live with that then he doesnt deserve to be with you, he is very selfish.
