Try Certain Dri or Mitchum. If your female, Secret is coming out with a stronger formula. Also if you're female, try using men's deo.

Reply:The white stick kind, I've noticed gel types are not good. I used the non-metallic type in the clear bottle when my pits became sweaty and itchy. All other brands have the metallic substance in them. Natural, as always it seems, is the best if it will keep you from smelling.

God bless...
Reply:You should try to find a natural deodorant. You may have to look at a health store. Secret, Degree, Dove, etc...all contain Aluminum, which is not good for your skin. I've found that natural works better for me. If you don't have a health store around, there are some good ones online. I currently order my deodorant (and other products) from an online wellness store and have it sent to me :)
Reply:I'd find Norsca roll on its quite refreshing. At the moment we're having a heat wave and I must remember to but more deodrant. Its up to you there's heaps on the market each to his own.
Reply:Any...
Reply:I'm not sure about hyperhidrosis, but I used to have a problem in which sweat would just drip, literally drip out of my arm pits, not even when I was hot or anything, I went to my dermatologists and he prescribed a topical solution to apply at nights, used it a could of times and it dramatically slowed the amount of sweat i perspired from my armpits, Talk to your dermatologist

Reply:Look for antiperspirant instead of deodorant. deodorant only covers up smell, while antiperspirant actually keeps you from sweating. I'd also talk to your dematologist about this one because if sweating is a big issue for you there are a few options that are worth checking out! and s/ha can absolutely recomend antiperspirants for you to try. Good luck hun
Reply:mitchum for women is a really good brand....my friend has that problem...or she also uses ban roll on deodorant
Reply:NO LIE!! you HAVE to try Certain Dri!! it works i promise you!!! sweat literally used to por down my stomach even when i wasnt hot. buy it its like 5 bucks and its worth it. u have to apply it on in the night time and wash in the morn
Reply:I swear by Certain Dri too! That stuff is amazing! The only downfall is that its a liquid roll-on, but it works wonders!
Reply:They sale this stuff called Certain-Dri it works miracles! Just read the label on the back and follow and you will be sweat free.

Sweaty palms?

I have this thing that I've had for several years called hyperhidrosis which is basically just that my hands sweat like crazy for no reason. I'm not nervous or hot or anything, my hands just sweat. They sweat all the time, but especially when my hands have to be clenched. I'm constantly wiping my hands and I try to avoid handshakes. It's really embarrassing. Someday I want to get surgerey but can't afford it now. does anyone else have this prob. or does anyone know What I can do in the meantime?

Sweaty palms?
Sweaty palms/ better term/moist palms!

I have lived with what I call moist palms all of my life!

Also I have cold hands and a warm heart.

I seem to be calm cool and collected.

I guess this my nervous outlet!

It is probably genetic?????

Ancestors from northern Great Britain????

I say just live with it!

It is a minor thing!

We can still live a carefree life.

It is our secret!
Reply:No I don't have this problem but if I did I would try applying powder to my hands esp. if I knew a handshake was comingup. Or I would try an unscented antiperspirant
Reply:My sympathy. I had this problem well into adulthood but it vanished and I can't even remember when.

Maybe it will just 'go-away' as minbe did. Meanwhile, 'don't sweat it'.
Reply:other than surgery, wiping your hands is best. Instead of shaking hands try to be courteous by just holding your hands behind your back in a nice manner and politely acknowledge the person with a smile and a nod. If you have a business card, you may want to give them that in their hand instead of a shake. I don't know what else. Save money for your surgery too.

What is this??

What is hyperhidrosis? My girl friend said she has it and wanted to know how to cure it but I don't even know what that is............does anyone know what that is and if it has a cure?

What is this??
Sweat. Perspiration. To some, it's a minor annoyance. But for those who suffer from excessive sweating, it's a serious consideration that can affect daily life, relationships and careers. Many people, even some doctors, don't understand the problem and dismiss the symptoms as merely troublesome. Yet, the condition, called hyperhidrosis, can cause a person's hands, face, feet, underarms or torso to sweat uncontrollably. Those who are plagued with hyperhidrosis are always reluctant in social and business settings, never knowing when they will experience the embarrassment of profuse sweating. People who suffer with hyperhidrosis are reluctant to share a hug, to dance, to play cards, to get close. Even something as simple as a handshake can be embarrassing.

Dr. Jim Garza, a thoracic surgeon, founded The Hyperhidrosis Center in 1982. His inspiration for The Hyperhidrosis Center came from years of encountering patients - and family members - who suffered unnecessarily from the condition. Since then, he has been curing patients with a simple outpatient procedure or with Botox®. He has performed over 6,000 procedures on patients with severe sweating of the hands, underarms and feet.

"Hyperhidrosis is an insidious condition often misunderstood not only by family members and friends, but also by physicians. The excessive sweating of hyperhidrosis manifests itself in a variety of conditions, both physical and emotional. It is my goal to further understanding of the disorder as well as to provide a treatment that is suited to the patient's degree of suffering."

What are some natural ways to help with excessive sweating?

Besides the obvious things like staying in a cool environment, etc... What are some natural ways to help excessive sweating?

A couple of factors that I am aware of: 1) My Mother has the same condition so it's probably genetic. 2) Some of the medication I take makes the problems worse, but I cannot stop or change the medication (it took me 3 years to iron out the balance of meds).

I don't believe it's "hyperhidrosis" because my sweating is generalized, but it seems to be worse on my face, hands, armpits, and chest.

I literally am soaking wet after 5 minutes of being outside on a warm day, even if I'm not doing much. I also sweat a lot when I sleep. I use a fan at night and only sleep with a sheet (I'm just not comfortable unless something is covering me.

I need to be able to control this "naturally" since I cannot change my medications, and I can not the fact that I have to be outside since I am a photographer (amature, but it's a source of income and I love it).

What are some natural ways to help with excessive sweating?
i have the same problem as you described, i also sweat a lot, i have tried many differed ways to control it but all have failed, things like talcum powder do help, but only to a limited extent.

the best way is to drink lots and lots of fluids, and let your body sweat, and yes keep a handtowel with you, believe me wiping off your sweat does seem to reduce the amount of sweat pouring out of your body.

by the way sweat is good for you, just remember to drink as much fluid as you can.
Reply:Take care of your personal hygiene and find a deodorant that you like.
Reply:i dunno
Reply:Use Air Cooler
Reply:Move somewhere cold. Get in top physical condition. Drink eight glasses of water a day.
Reply:be in a clean open and pollution free environment your homoeostasis will refresh
Reply:I just know of an operation where they take away something, but that s gonna be difficult since you sweat everywhere...maybe jut wear very light things and use air condition....??? sorry...
Reply:i believe you need to reduce your salt intake and try and shave you ampit as often as possible.

If you don't still get result see your doctor.

Wear light clothes instead of heavy ones unless it is winter period.
Reply:Use Powder, wear comfortable clothing and most importantly, stay away from pornographic materials...lol!
Reply:Aluminum salts work very well you probably know it is alum used many foods and the main ingredient of all deodorants. Dissolve as much alum in water as you can without is being grainy and after bathing take a cloth or sponge and apply it all over your body. Worth a try. We get it here in rock form and it is very cheap.
Reply:Salt tablets.
Reply:You should find the reason for excessive sweating. The most likely cause would be an over active thyroid, and it does run in families. You could see if that is the problem by taking Bugleweed for a few days and if you no longer sweat excessively, bingo. If you were tested for this by a doctor, it wouldn't show up unless there is an abundance of thyroid hormone in your bloodstream at the time they take the blood sample.

How much does ultrasound assisted liposuction cost?

I want my underarms done. This isn't cosmetic but is for hyperhidrosis. I want local anesthesia and not general. Has anyone had ual done? Does it hurt? Any advice?

How much does ultrasound assisted liposuction cost?
Liposuction surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

If i don't have health insurance and need to have a needed operation for a disorder, will Medicaid help me out?

This operation is for hyperhidrosis, an excessive sweating disorder of the hands/armpits.. It is FDA approved and I believe many health insurance pay for the procedure, as claimed by the doctor. But since I am currently a college student without a full-time job, will Medicaid help me out paying for this type of surgery?

If i don't have health insurance and need to have a needed operation for a disorder, will Medicaid help me out?
I don't have the answer to your question, just don't listen to the

You probably won't like the answers. Just because something is coverable under some insurance policies does not mean you'll get covered without insurance.
Reply:No, I don't want to pay for your multi-thousand-dollar surgery just because you are too sweaty. I worked my way through school and studied very hard to get my job. My wife and I are trying to move to a new town. My car is 12 years old and I can't save up enough money to get a new one.

It is a crime that people assume, expect, demand, and take for granted that their every comfort and need will be met in life. Medicare was designed for the poorest people in America, but because it gets abused by some, very few people can qualify and many people suffer from things like strokes, heart attacks, and diabetes without getting help. You should be ashamed for asking such a thing. Buy some deodorant and some health insurance.

I have a concern. I am a teen with a sweating problem and just before you jump to the conclusion that i may?

At school i will sweat so bad that i have huge circles under my arms.. but at home, really anywhere thats not at school i dont sweat at all! now i'm not anxious or nervous when i get to school or whatever but i just sweat for no reason... does anyone have this problem and if so tell me how you have delt with it.

I have a concern. I am a teen with a sweating problem and just before you jump to the conclusion that i may?
I saw an episode of Dr.90210 where they did botox injections to a guy with the same issue. It has to be done every 6 months or so - but it'd be worth it if it's that big a deal. Google it!
Reply:I had the same problem. It was me using the wront anti-persperant, and being in rooms that fluctuated too much in tempature. There's also the stress of being at school that could cause you to perspire. I'd just suggest you use a deoderant that's specialized for persperiation.
Reply:i have that aswell... and i get it when im out.. like not at home, it drives me insane, i have tried drinking LOTS more water and i think it has helped out, and i have started going running in the morning and at night to get my self fit, i am pretty fit already thou..

but yea, drink more water and maybe do more ecxersise

Reply:Diaphoresis (excessive sweating) really sucks...I've had it for years. This IS what you have, even if you don't like it. If your problem is mainly under your arms, I suggest trying Certain-Dri...you can get it at most drug stores. It helped me TREMENDOUSLY.

It's not an emergency, but the next time you see your doctor, I would bring this up to him/her. You could have a hormonal imbalance (if you are still going through puberty, I'd blame that), or a problem with your thyroid...that's what mine ended up being. I take one pill a day and I don't sweat (unless I'm supposed to).

Try the Certain-Dri for now...and know you aren't alone!! Best of luck!
Reply:My best friend has a problem with sweating and her mom is a doctor. She uses mitchum deodorant. There is an oral pill that you can take that helps reduce sweating. Ask a doctor and good luck.
Reply:My brother has a problem with sweating around his thigh area. He wears a second pair of shorts under things , such as cargo shorts.
Reply:One thing - Certain Dri - at local stores and supermarkets. You can apply around your hairline at night if your face sweats and around your neck as well to keep your shirts from getting stained and sweaty.
Reply:omg i am exactly the same way at home i am fine i use dove deoderant and it wroks pretty good but i still sweat a little it is really embarassing but i noticed a few other girls at my school have this and they r really popular and it doesn't bother them so idk
Reply:I had the EXACT problem. I would come home and I stopped sweating. I wasn't nervous, anxious or stressed. It eventually afteer a year will go away mostly. Obviously you still sweat but not like as much as before. Its usually just becuase of raging hormones.

What's the best cure for excessive facial sweating?

I sweat a lot most especially on my face..its very visible and it takes a long time for the sweat to stop..i think i have hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)..wat should i do? is there anything i can do with thiz?..its making my life miserable? its very humiliating...i get low self-esteem bcoz of thiz..help!

What's the best cure for excessive facial sweating?
You may have what is called Hyperhidrosis. This is a condition involving excessive sweating of the hands, face, underarms, and feet. Hyperhidrosis is very common, occurring up to 1% of the population. The control is by the sympathetic nervous system. In the case of Hyperhidrosis, the sympathetic nerves are unpredictable and completely uncontrollable.

In most cases, medical treatment only alleviates symptoms generated by mild forms of hyperhidrosis. Some of the treatments include, astringents, talc/starch, sedatives, antihistamines, anticholinergics and beta blockers. More aggressive therapies include: liposuction, botulinum toxin and iontophoresis. They all have been applied ranging degrees of success. However affected patients with severe forms of hyperhidrosis require to Endoscopic Thoracic Sympathectomy cure their symptoms.

Reply:i saw on a tv show once, a guy who had that on his hands like, every 10 minuits he had to wipe them with a towel. but id say, go for a lonnnngggg lonnggg run take LOTS of water, and sweat as much as you can, (take a towel aswell) and if your a chunky guy/girl this may be why, but after the run shower and relax, see if your as bad after.

Reply:Hyperhidrosis can be caused by undiagnosed food intolerances or heavy metal poisoning. The two are not unrelated.

I had severe hyperhidrosis along with arhhythmia, migraines and muscle twitching. I went through all the regular treatments including robinul, klonopin, drysol, and finally ETS surgery. After 2-3 years the hyperhidrosis and Raynaud's syndrome began to return.

My symptoms were caused by mercury toxicity from old fillings, which led to wheat and dairy intolerance (gluten and casein). After eliminating grains and dairy from my diet, the symptoms have gone away. I had all fillings replaced with composite material, and have been taking supplements for B vitamins, minerals (magnesium, zinc, etc.) and probiotics.

If you search, there are several sources which mention hyperhidrosis as a symptom of mercury poisoning. This can be related to wheat and dairy intolerance because mercury inhibits DPP-IV, the main enzyme needed to digest these foods.

Heavy metals don't show up on regular tests until it is provoked out of the body with a chelating agent. I wasted money on one blood test before finding another doctor who did a urine test properly.

Sweaty hands?

Whenever I get hot, or excercise, my hands sweat..lately they have been sweating constantly..(not necessary my palms, but my fingertips....I don't know if maybe I'm stressed out or what. I went to my doctor and he gave me cream, not working..He told me I have to stop stressing over it..Help I don't know what to do!!!Is it hyperhidrosis? I don't know...My hands don't sweat constantly...They don't sweat when I'm at rest or sleeping?

Sweaty hands?
Hi! I'm from Argentine and It could be hyperhidrosis. If you dont want to solve this problem try going to a doctor.

The best way to stop sweating in my opinion is by Botox injections.
Reply:The shyness factor doesn't help. Work on being more extroverted as well, never worrying about others thoughts. Always focusing on one's breathing and trying to remain as comfortable as possible at all times helps.
Reply:hah i've got exactly the same and never worried about it! Let's hold each others hand both sweaty hands would be fun :)

Well...just dont worry about it it's nothing bad!
Reply:I have the exact same problem! I used to take with me a handkerchief just in case. Now I do not have sweaty hands because it is getting cold here where I live. I suggest you take a cotton cloth with you and do not wear gloves. Do not think about it or the sweating will start again.

Can I have success with women if I sweat all over and have a lot of body hair?

I have hyperhidrosis that can't be cured so I always sweat a ton all over, especially in my armpits and groin and chest area as well as palms and feet (smelly socks).

Even worse, I have a ton of body hair.

I have tried all kinds of things for the sweating, and hours of electrolysis for the body hair. Laser hair removal is expensive and doesn't work for most people unless you hae light skin and black hair. I even have hair on the sides of my stomach, in my nose, ears etc...

Nothing has worked and I am very unfonfident of approaching women because of these sweaty hairy problems.

I am 6 feet 175 pounds and not out of shape.

But I look like a smelly wet ape.

Will women care about this if I fake confidence?

Can I have success with women if I sweat all over and have a lot of body hair?
Just try to not be too worried about it, you'll do OK. I can just imagine how you may feel towards approaching women, but don't let that stand in your way. The right person(s) will notice the good points about you and will be more understanding once you explain your problem.

At least, though I wish it didn't have to be that way, you are aware of your problem and do your best to not smell or look bad .... a sad thing though is that many men look, smell and act bad, but they DON"T want to do anything about it.

I knew a guy once with your condition....he has been happily married now for several years now and is well liked by others in his community. So, you are not alone in this, and people do understand.

Hold your head up, be proud............and....

MERRY CHRISTMAS !!

EDITED--- I just looked this up...you might want to take a look at the website :

http://www.hyperhidrosis.org/

"Fortunately with the recent advances in medicine, many forms of treatment are available to treat hyperhidrosis. Medications, topical antiperspirants, iontophoresis, botox and surgery have been tried to treat hyperhidrosis. Endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy or ETS is the most effective method to treat hyperhidrosis. The California Institute for Hyperhidrosis and Facial Blushing provides a comprehensive site about hyperhidrosis and the ETS procedure."

Good Luck
Reply:If sweaty hairy people did not have success with women there would be no Italians. So yes, you will be fine.

Why would you fake confidence.

Reply:Hairy can be nice--I would rather have a guy with too much hair than one with no hair. Have you tried botox injections for your armpits and hands?
Reply:There are lots of women who love body hair in men! As for sweat, this is something you have to explain to women who tolerate your hair. Better tell interested women in advance so that the relationship doesnt end up in a bitter way.

Did you try advertising for a date, stating your condition honestly? Ask only those really interested, to reply.

Does anyone know of a remedy for HyperHydrosis???

Ive had hyperhidrosis for about 6 years now and its taking my life lil by lil.

ive tried medications and lotions and eletrolysis but nothing works...i cant afford the surgery and i want to know if theres an herbla remedy or something alternative for me to take to either stop or ease the sweating....

Does anyone know of a remedy for HyperHydrosis???
I know how you feel, same problem here! :-)

I've suffered for yeaaars until I found Drysol! Trust me, it's really really good. Stops sweat 100%. It's a product you apply at night at you'll see results by morning, you can wear whatever you want without worrying about the sweat stains! It has worked amazingly for me.
Reply:I have had troubles with this in the past too. For underarm sweating I used an antiperspirant that I had to put on th night before. I cant remember the name,(roll-on in a green and white tube- it was called something like dri stop) but it kinda stinged for a few minutes then the next day i would not sweat at all. They also sale salt pills that can work well.

Help with Hyperhydrosis?

My doctor told me when I was like I dunno,6,7, something like that.(I'm 11 now.) that I have palmer hyperhydrosis, which is like where you sweat a LOT on your hands and its just SO embarrassing.Once my friend fell so when I went to put my hand out she went" eww why are you hands so sweaty?" PLUS I'm left handed,so now INCLUDED to the left handed smudging when writing,NO ONE can read my handwriting because it all smudges so badly from the sweat. They SAY I'm supposed to grow out of it when I am like 12,but I'm starting Junior High so I don't want to be embarrased about people telling me about my hands. And it bothers me so badly,I mean,I read books and sometimes, when I am done I look at the place where my hands were gripping the book and like, the whole paperback cover was gray!!!Ugh...how embarrasing.Does anyone else here have Palmer Hyperhidrosis? Are there any other ways I can get rid of Hyperhydrosis WITHOUT surgery or pills?(again,Im ELEVEN years old.)

Help with Hyperhydrosis?
I have had hyperhidrosis since I was 13. I, too, can relate to the things you mentioned above. I couldn't write on paper in school because it would soak through. My shirts would have armpit stains. I could literally shake my hand and beads of water would come off. It was SO embarassing. I am now 21. Hyperhidrosis is excessive sweating unrelated to heat. You will sweat even when it is cold outside. My dermatologist told me this condition was genetic. I had hand, armpit, and feet sweating. It would get so bad, that I was embarassed to shake someone's hand or even be seen out in public. There are many treatments for this including pills, botox injections, and even surgery. I know you mentioned that you don't want pills or surgery, but there isn't a whole lot out there to treat it without either of them. There are special deodorants you can buy that actually block the sweat glands (or so they say) under your armpits to stop the sweating, but that never worked for me. Plus, you don't even have underarm sweating. There is also Botox injections that you can get in your hands. They are very expensive and painful. Plus, you have to get them routinely because they don't last. Mine was so bad, I was considering surgery and even met with a cardiothoracic surgeon to discuss my case. Before the surgery, I tried the drug "Ditropan XL." This drug is an anticholinergic drug which means that it does certain things to the parasympathetic nervous system in your body. This drug is used to treat overactive bladder, but I don't have that. I use it for its side effect which is a decrease in sweating. This has been a miracle drug for me! It has truly cured my sweating and has allowed me to live a normal life. The only time the drug doesn't work is when I'm really stressed or nervous. Speak to your dermatologist about what is right for you. There are options out there.... just not many that doesn't involve injections, pills, or surgery. Good luck!

Facial Antiperspirant?

I recently bought an antiperspirant called Certain Dri because I sweat too much and I haven't used it yet but I'm hoping it'll work because I have to wait two weeks till I can see my doctor about doing something about my hyperhidrosis.

What I was wondering was, does anyone use antiperspirants on their face/forehead? Though I do have bad underarm sweating, my main problem is around my forehead. Could it work there? And is it even safe? Or do they have another special kind for the face?

Facial Antiperspirant?
try to get a face product that dries your face out a little

Sweaty Hands?

My hands get really sweaty and cold, sometimes to the point where they drip. I know that the condition is called Hyperhidrosis and that there are surgical options available but I wondering if anyone knows of some more natural solutions.

Reply:NPR recently did a news story about this condition and some treatments coming down the pipe. There are some medications that are experimental and are currently being tested. You might want to hold off on surgery for a little while.

Also, I realize that it can be very embarrassing to shake someone's hand when your hand is cold and damp... but is it really that bad? Your personality is far more important.
Reply:This sounds weird but I had the same problem with my feet until I stopped using antiperspirant. I switched to a natural crystal deodorant, and reduced the sweating by 75%.

Does Polyethylene Glycol 3350 NF powder cause sleeping problems?

I've been taking this medicine for over a week and the first day i took it i had trouble sleeping and i've had trouble sleeping since. There was one day that i forgot to take the medicine but i still had trouble sleeping. It takes me so long to fall asleep and i usually get about 3 or 4 hours of sleep each night. I take 17 grams of Polyethylene Glycol every night at around 5pm. Also, I'm a 15 year old female. I'm aalso taking Prevacid 30mg for acid reflux and hypercare deoderant for hyperhidrosis.

Does Polyethylene Glycol 3350 NF powder cause sleeping problems?
I found one study that mentioned insomnia as a side effect in the elderly. What really matters though is how it affects you. Getting that little sleep will put you in a bad way, so it's worth stopping the med for a few nights. Lots of things act as stimulants -- some of us have more problems than others -- and they can cause insomnia until they clear the body; it's possible that you're having this sort of reaction to the PG. Have you spoken with your health care provider about this?

Given your collection of symptoms, I'm wondering if a good nutritionist might be able to help. Write to me back-channel if you like.

I told my mom, but she has a new job and she cant talk to my doctor anytime soon cuz her boss wont let her....so she told me to do some research.....so i am. DO YOU NOW OF A LOTION OR DEODERANT (OVER THE COUNTER or PERSCRIPTION) that will stop my sweating?!!!??? HELP!!!!

How do you stop excessive underarm Sweating?
Its over the counter anti- perspirant roll-on call CERTAIN DRI it works great....I use to be the same way ...
Reply:certain dri doesn't work it gave me a rash n itched %26amp; my dermatologist about it %26amp; he prescribed me Drysol %26amp; it was the exact same thing as certain dri %26amp; didnt work either, he then said the only other thing was botox,%26amp; said insurances dont cover it b/c they look at it like a cosmotology Report It

Reply:i dont know, just google it, but its kind of weird that your moms boss wont let her talk to your doctor
Reply:one answer, that guaruntees results but is very expensive.. botox its not only used to firm your face but to stop sweat glands. good luck i feel for you.
Reply:uh i dont sweat that much so i dont know any deo or lotion but you can always ask a pharmasist
Reply:ask your doctor to prescribe DRYSOL.

it works wonders.

and basically saved me from the humilation of raising my arms.

its a deoderant.

you put it on once a week and it lasts for the rest of the week.

its really strong%26amp;your doctor can explain how to put it on%26amp;stuff.
Reply:try a heavy duty sports deodorant

they work better than regular anti-persperants
Reply:The best current cure is a course of botox injections.
Reply:uuuuh use deoderant 24/7
Reply:go to your nearby drugstore or grocery store...and look for Sudden Dry....its in a white box and costs about 5-6 bucks. Use it before bed ONLY and you will see results immediately. It works REALLY well...good luck!
Reply:onions help....wipe an onion in your arm pits....stops sweating straight away
Reply:My grandaughter has about the same problem, I had her try some cornstartch lightly under her arms , it worked for her. try it at home after some excersizing. hope it helps.
Reply:you have to go to the doctor and they will prescribe you a roll on stick thing that you put on everynight before bed for a week then you use it like once a week after that... it works wonders.. i used it and it helped sooo much... i can't remember the exact name of it but trust me it will help... good luck
Reply:i've tried certain dri and it didnt work very well, plus it was uncomfortable and left a rash. i was itching everynite i put it on.

Botox is the BEST. i got it the first time when i was 14 and it lasted for about 7 months. i would look into it.

Alternative treatments for sweaty hands/feet?

I have palmar and plantar hyperhidrosis (really, really sweaty hands and feet, most of the time). I've been to a dermatologist and she prescribed Drysol, but that does pretty much nothing. She said the next thing would be to buy a medical shock-treatment type machine to send mild electrical currents through my hands and feet. I'm really not crazy about putting extra chemicals into my body or zapping myself, and I'd rather do some kind of natural treatment. What's the best thing? I've heard sage tea, but drinking it only helps a little, and that only for a little while. Also, I'm 15. Will it go away?

Alternative treatments for sweaty hands/feet?
Homeopathy would probably be your best bet. Attached below is a web site that is the next best thing to visiting a homeopath in person. They will, of course, want you to buy from them; but feel free to go to your local health food store to purchase the remedies they recommend.

If homeopathy doesn't take care of this for you, I would suggest your next stop would be a visit to a naturopath. You can check at the health food store to see if there is one in the area that they recommend. If not, you can check out the second link below to find one in your state.

Please feel free to email me with any questions.
Reply:botox is a good treatment, but its expensive. And I understand it works for 3-6 months at a time.
Reply:I have the same problem! I tried rubbing vitamin E oil and it worked for like a day. I tried it again and it didn't work. huh.
Reply:Put 20 mule team laundry booster in your shoes and wear them for a day and you won,t sweat again.
Reply:Listen to the doctor. the shock treatment is a mild electrical current that you probably will not feel.

Preferably guys but girls tooo!! hand holders!?

unfortunately, i have palmer hyperhidrosis.. and for those of you who don't know what it means, its just excessive sweating.. on the HANDS. sometimes my hands are dry too.. but other than that.. its so difficult to work with.. the papers i write on get crinkly.. and im just mostly upset because i won't be able to hold hands with anybody when the time comes.. how is it with you guys and holding hands? are your hands sweaty? always dry? do guys mind sweaty hands? like sometimes really sweaty.. =\ please tell me because its always bothering me so much. oh and please tell me if you have sweaty palms too!!!

Preferably guys but girls tooo!! hand holders!?
pee on your hands in the morning, leave it for 5 mins and then wash of course....sounds gross?...well, i asked my grandma and that's what she said...it's a pity she doesn't have a Y! account to answer you...
Reply:If your partner really loves you they will understand about the sweaty hands. My ex hated touching me if I was hot or sweaty so we rarely held hands, but none of my previous boyfriends had a problem with it.
Reply:If you get nerves you have more sweaty - If it so bad just wash more offen.
Reply:Isnt there a cure for that? Seems I thot there was. You could allow your gal to put her hand on top of yours and lock fingers. ;) Try some antipersperant or an astringent on your palms...heck it works for sweaty underarms doesnt it? Make your hands smell sexy. lol ;)
Reply:Keeping your hands in your jacket / pants pocket is a neat way to wipe your hands dry before shaking hands without being obvious.

Gloves can help too. You can still get fingerless ones even though it's not the 1980's anymore.

Holding paper drink cups gives you an excuse to wipe hands before shaking.

If you're on a date, give her something else to hold like a bouquet of flowers rather than your hands.
Reply:i think hand is hand , i would like to touch her and hold her hands

I sweat a lot but just at school,is there anything i can do to fix it or does anyone know what it is?

I have looked around at the whole sweating thing a bit and I don't think that it is hyperhidrosis, but I am not sure. I'm not insecure or anything but I just sweat alot at school and almost none at home or outside of school

I sweat a lot but just at school,is there anything i can do to fix it or does anyone know what it is?
It could be that your body is always flushed from hanging around the opposite sex, or it could be that stay in a certain position for a long time. Usually sitting down for long periods or keeping your arms tucked for long periods does this, especially in very humid places such as a school.
Reply:I've noticed that I sweat a lot when I am nervous, or afraid of something. I used to have a really fierce and scary manager a while ago, so every time I was around her, I sweated profusely. Since you do not sweat at home, only at school, it might be that your condition is not medical. Just try to relax, and be calm at all times.

Does needlescopic thoracic sympathectomy work?

I'm 15 and have palmar hyperhidrosis. I h8 it, i can't even write on paper normally bcuz i'll get it soaked and i can't shake hands or hold hands w/ anyone. I recently saw a permanent solution called needlescopic thoracic sympathectomy and want to know about it, such as does it it work or hurt, and whats the earliest age to get it done. I really want to hv normal hands like everyone else.

Does needlescopic thoracic sympathectomy work?
I highly advise you do not have it done! This is a decision you have to consider very carefully and get advice from health care professionals (several opinions) who can evaluate your condition and take everything into consideration. That being said I really hope you consider some reasons I'll give you, and if you don't understand anything I write, please consult someone who is a neutral party but knows about how the nervous system works. I'll try to break it down as best I can because it is pretty confusing (took me about a year and a half to really understand a lot of this, so don't feel bad if you don't get it right away)

The nervous system basically has 2 components, the sympathetic portion (fight or flight) and the parasympathetic portion (wine and dine). The stuff in parenthesis gives you a general idea of what each portion controls. Both nervous systems are always at work within your body with one being more in charge at any given time.

I'll start with the "wine and dine" parasympathetic nervous system. This allows you to relax, fall asleep, digest your food, relax and watch a movie.

The sympathetic nervous system "fight or flight" prepares your body for more intense reactions to keep you alive. A good way to think about it is "Mama bear". This nervous system would be in charge if you got in between a mama bear and her cubs...your blood would go to your muscles so you could run away, away from your stomach, because you don't need to break down food when you're trying to run for your life. It also helps you make quicker reactions, and takes blood away from your skin and moves it down into your body so if mama bear slashes you with her claw you don't bleed to death right away. It also makes you sweat, so you can be slippery and slide away from mama bear. This is your problem, your palms sweat a lot. A thoracic sympathectomy basically cuts the sympathetic portion of your nervous system in the thoracic region (the thoracic region of your spine is all the levels of your spine where your ribs come off of). This means you would never have those reactions in the nerves that this procedure was performed on. It might sound good now, but think about how it will be when you're 40-50 years old, and you have other problems because your wine and dine system has been running full blast for this whole time with no fight or flight reaction to calm it down. This might lead to ulcers, digestive problems, blood vessel problems, and other problems. Think about having a lightswitch on for that long, eventually there are going to be some problems right? Also you do need some sweat for your hands to keep them moist and to not dry out and crack. As far as it hurting, I'm not sure how invasive "needlescopic sympathectomy" the surgery is, but I know most sympathectomies are under general anaesthesiae, which means they will make you unconscious to perform the surgery. There is always a risk of complications such as infection, or even deadening the wrong nerve root.

I know it is a very big deal and very frustrating to you, but I suggest you look into other treatments first. Chiropractic is very helpful with balancing the two nervous systems and having them work together more efficiently. If you find a good chiropractor in your area they may be able to resolve your condition without surgery. It may take a few visits, but it is much more safe than having surgery and the long term consequences are much much smaller. Accupuncture has also been known to resolve problems such as this, through a different manner of needles and balancing your body. If you are really interested in finding other treatments I suggest you go to pubmed.gov with a parent or science teacher and search for articles with "Chiropractic" and "reducing palmar hyperhydrosis" as well as "accupuncture" and "reducing palmar hyperhydrosis".

Your problem may just be a result of hormones too, and it may take care of itself in the next 2-3 years, so just consider everything before you make a decision

Anyone know of any surgeons in Oklahoma more specifically Tulsa that do the ETS surgery?

I have suffered from hyperhidrosis in my feet and hands for many years now and it really affects not only my personal life but also my work life. I am really wanting to look into getting the surgery but I don't know where to start. I am from the Tulsa area but I don't know what type of doctor to consult about gettingit. Any ideas?

Anyone know of any surgeons in Oklahoma more specifically Tulsa that do the ETS surgery?
The first step is to get a referal from your GP. If you haven't found a surgeon that you like the sound of your GP should be able to recomend one. If you want to come out to Australia Mr Chris Hensmen is very good.

I suggest that you get the nerves 'clamped' not 'cut'. That way the procedure is reversable just in case there are any unacceptable side effects such as perfuse sweating on the shins.

Good luck to you.

Good luck.

Would he still go out with me?

There is thsi guy Matt, who likes me, and i also like him but we aren't going out yet. Im also a little scared of going out with him because I have a problem. I have Palmar Hyperhidrosis (excessively sweaty hands) so i would never be able to hold his hand. How would i tell him this? It is a bit repulsive, so i dont know what t do. is it that big of a deal?

Would he still go out with me?
I have Palmer hyperhidrosis too, so I know how you feel! I told my boyfriend I had it before he felt my hand, so he didn't find it shocking. Believe or not, my boyfriend had a different type of hyperhidrosis and was a little embarassed to tell me about it. Most guys, if they like you enough are totally understanding about it. My boyfriend personally finds it amazing that I have that. Just be like... before you hold hands, wipe your hand off, and be like sorry I have hyperhidrosis and explain to him what it is. I hold my boyfriend's hand all the time and its really not that big of a deal.
Reply:no its not. if he didnt accept you the way you are then hes not a man enough for you
Reply:Girl, I'm a guy - and you're making something out of nothing. It's not a problem at all.
Reply:It's not that big of a deal because that's not something someone should care about if they like a person. Tell him so you won't feel uncomfortable around him. If you don't then there will always be a barrier you put up, and it might actually drive him away. So just be honest and if he has a problem then you won't like him anymore because he's a jerk. lol. That's all you got to say. Good luck.☺

Is Certain Dri ok to put on other areas of perspiration?

I've read the instructions over a few times to make sure I know what I'm doing, and I'm confused about a couple of things. First of all, it comes with this ball thing on top that is pretty dry, so am I supposed to hold it upside down and apply it to my underarms?

Even though it works for up to 3 days, should I still use it daily for maybe the first week or so? What would happen if I use it too often?

Lastly, and my most important question: Why does it only recommend you to use it for your underarms? I don't see the problem of applying it to other areas of perspiration. When reading the instructions, it says that this army sargent recommended to put it under your feet before a long walk or run.

This makes me think it would help to apply it to any perspiration glands. Because the way I see it, I have hyperhidrosis, which affects me in many places, like my forehead, armpits, lower back/thigh area, and to a lesser effect on the rest of my body.

So what's wrong with applying it there?

Is Certain Dri ok to put on other areas of perspiration?
You can and should use it daily after a shower.Only for your arm pitts.

Nowhere else.

Other areas that are to wet you can apply talcum powder.Rub that in.

Sky.
Reply:because it will irritate ( sting) other areas.........and yes use deodorate and anti perspirant everyday even if it says every 3 days its just common sense you wont lose your arms if u use it more often either. to use an anti perspirant on other areas try a spray a gentle 1 like secret for sensitive skin even if your a guy a female 1 is gentle and noone needs to know i use it under breasts and private areas too it really works

Help! I sweat in the wintertime and not in the summer!?

I have had this problem for three - four years. I sweat in the winter profusely. I've tried every type of deodorant under the sun. None work. I sweat through them and within three hours I have to reapply, so I don't smell. The weird thing is, I don't sweat in the summer as badly and, in the winter, my body temperature goes down to 97-96 degrees. I do sweat, in the summertime, but I not as severely. I think I might have axillary hyperhidrosis. I've talked to my mother about it and she said I can't do the surgery to correct it or Botox. The only thing I haven't tried is the perscription deodorant. Please help!

Help! I sweat in the wintertime and not in the summer!?
It is quite possible that you have a medical issue but what first came to my mind is how you dress. In the summer if you mostly wear tank tops or cotton T-shirts then you're getting plenty of fresh air to your pits so you won't sweat that much. In the winter I find that many layers of clothes will make me sweat much faster. Also, if you're wearing more synthetic material that could make a big difference. I would suggest wearing cotton T-shirts underneath your sweaters and be sure to dress in a way that you can take some layers off and cool down when you're indoors instead if sweating because you're hot and the heat is on. I hope this helps!

How can i get dry, soft and smooth hands out of frequently sweaty hands?

I have sweaty hands all the time. I don't know if it's hyperhidrosis because its not like my hands are pouring sweat 24/7. They are sometimes dry, but right when i realize they're dry, they go damp and clammy. I hate it, im a touchy person, i like holding hands and comforting people with touch. But i cant because my hands feel disgusting. Ive tried baby powder, talcum powder, dr.sholls feet stuff, rubbing alcohol, and some other stuff. It dries my hands for a little bit then they start sweating agian, or with rubbing alcohol and talcum powder my hands just become... tacky, wierd, like dry but grippy. It's not what im looking for. I want dry hands. But not just dry- dry, smooth and soft. What are some home remedies, or things i can buy that WILL help? thank you.

How can i get dry, soft and smooth hands out of frequently sweaty hands?
keep your hands in ice cubs box for 5 minutes then wash wash the water with towel and then feel the difference. Do daily twice for a week.
Reply:You got to drink a lot of water to control the sweat problem.
Reply:in your situation were the same my own remedies is that to keep my self calm! if I'm not my hands start to sweat and also my feet
Reply:my friend has that same problem. i heard you can get surgery? im not sure. she hasnt had hers yet since shes too young.
Reply:i am in the same position as you, as soon as thinking about it, it becomes sweaty.... a problem since childhoood... dont know how to get rid of it... even drank a lot of water......
Reply:Maybe, you take too much stress and tension due to which your hands bcum sweaty or there is a skin problem.First of all, consult a good dermatologist. He will be able to help you. Also, you can try rubbing vaseline on your hands daily before going to sleep to make them soft and supple.Maintain a stress-free life as much as possible. Too much stress and tension is bad for your heart too.
Reply:I had the exact same problem for more than 30 years. Yes, it's hyperhidrosis. It's an over stimulated sympathetic problem of the nervous system which makes the hands hot and sweaty. What helped me was chiropractic. I originally came in for a herniated disc, didn't know they can fix hyperhidrosis, and my heart condition as well. I managed to get 3 birds with 1 stone. Don't go to just any chiropractor, you need to go to the very best in the world like I did.

http://www.gonsteadmthoreb.com/

Yes, it's middle of nowhere, but it's worth it. I've been hyperhidrosis free for the past few years. For the first time, I can actually feel every ridge in my fingerprints. Fingers aren't very hot anymore, which my patients miss, but they're not sweaty either which they don't miss. It's a blessing what those guys do, I'm telling you, I've done what you've done, you have to go to them and have it fixed once and for all.
Reply:Whenever your are disturbed mentally, your body responds to it by sweating out. This could be better avoided by constant meditation daily for a few minutes in the early morning and in the evening, atlest for 20 minutes. This will calm your mind and clarity of taught process to solve your problems with much mor ease and confidence. To add to this you can try out Alue Veera juice and lime to be applied on your palm for a few minutes and cleanse it. This will give you a soft and smooth texture to the skin

Anyone familiar with TriWest/Tricare - need help and info?

I've been diagnosed with chronic hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating over various parts of the body) and I wanted to know if anyone has info about TriCare covering the cost of the surgery to stop my problem (endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy). I have searched the TriWest website for several keywords to see approved surgeries or methods for treatment and can't find anything. Is anyone familiar with TriWest? Any suggestions?

Anyone familiar with TriWest/Tricare - need help and info?
Tasha: Whether or not TriCare covers your problem quite likely depends on how debilitating it is for you. Your physician might be the one who determines that. If he can make a good case to TriCare to cover it, they will. I would call TriCare first and talk to them. You should have a phone number on some of your TriCare correspondence. If not there, try their website again. There will be a phone number there. Be persistent. If the first couple of contacts can't answer your question, keep going up the chain of authority until you do get an answer. I wish you well.
Reply:I'm not familiar with TriWest, but I am very familiar with TriCare. Have you seen your PCM? Who exactly diagnosed you? If it was your PCM, they should be able to refer you to the proper specialist. Your referral will cover a certain amount of visits for certain dates. If you have any questions about coverage you need to go to your nearest TriCare service center.

My 4 month old son contipated, have doc appoint. this afternoon...?

And I'm trying to prepare myself writing down questions and concerns... Background: Our son was loosing weight instead of gaining and at 5-6 weeks doc told us to feed him NAN AR 1 (thickened formula) since they thought his acid reflux was the problem (He wasn't keeping enough milk down for long enough) I took for granted that he was constipated because of this formula but now that he's on regular NAN 2 still same thing.

I do give him water and juice (apple, pear) between feedings and will ask doc today if prune juice is safe and how much...he also sweats a lot..like when he lays down for a while his back is wet ...I sweat a lot too so maybe I passed it on to him(?) (I even found out there's a name for it "Hyperhidrosis" So I'll ask about that too..I mean sweating a lot for such a tiny person would leave him dehydrated wouldn't it? And that would cause constipation? I also read that sweating and peeing a lot can be signs of diabetes so that's on my list of questions as well...

My 4 month old son contipated, have doc appoint. this afternoon...?
Hmmm... not quite sure how to help you. I do understand your concerns, though. I only have one child - and I was always asking my doc questions about everything under the sun! I mean, I had never had a baby before - so I was scared to death. And I completely understand your worry, when you already have other stuff (like having to thicken the formula) going on in the background. (I also had to do that with my daughter, because of other problems she had) So, I just wanted to let you know that all your questions are very valid. And I can see where one thing may lead you to another. Talk to your doctor. Don't stress though, until you find out something for sure. My daughter also had constipation as a baby. The suggestions I got were karo syrup. But no matter how many times I tried, I could never get her to drink that bottle! If I fixed a new bottle with out it, she would drink it right down. But never once would she drink the bottle with karo syrup. Yours might be different than mine, but I would just advise to see what other suggestions there are - in case. Best of Luck!
Reply:Im so sorry the you have so many concerns for your son. my son was constipated when we was like 2months old my doctors told me to put karo syrup in everybottle just like a tsp and it cleared it right up in about 2wks.. when your son sleeps do you keep to warm? maybe this is why he is sweating so much. And if hes peeing alot..thats normal for such a little person when their bladder is so tiny to begin with. I get so nervous for mothers who go to their babys doctor saying so much is worng and suggest what they think is wrong only because....my cuz had a baby the same time i did and both our sons had projectile vomitting(both formula fed) well my doctor made me switch to a soy based formula which cleard up my sons problem and my cuz docto said the same thing but she said no no theres more wrong so they put the baby on acid reflux medication and made him take medicne twice a day for like a 1 and a 1/2 till they realized he didnot need it and it ruined his stomach a little.
Reply:You are doing all the standard "try this" things - the doc is the person to ask. Yes, being dehydrated can cause constipation (or at least make it worse) but if he's drinking between feedings then he's unlikely to be sweating THAT much.

Make a list of everything you've tried, and all the questions you want to ask, or if you're anything like me you'll realise an hour after the appointment that you forgot something :)
Reply:The problem is that this could be any number of things ranging from basically nothing serious to very serious. For example, a friend of mine's son was found to be constipated alot and not gaining weight like he should and it just turned out to be colic and he got all better. On the other, a woman I went to school with had a baby who was failing to thrive as well, sweated alot especially when she was asleep, couldn't tolerate feedings well and was always constipated. It turned out for her that her digestive system hadn't developed normally and the poor thing had to go through a serious of extensive surgeries and they still haven't fixed all of her problems. The odds are that your son is suffering from some minor, easily treatable gastro intestinal upset but no body on here is really going to be able to tell you for sure what's going on. Hope all goes well at the doc's today, good luck.

Will I ever get a boyfriend with my off-putting condition?

I have palmar hyperhidrosis (excessively sweaty hands) and i don't know what to do about it! i never had a boyfriend in my life and im 15. i fear that guys will think im a freak and reject me or something. Im not UGLY, but of course im not the prettiest girl in school. pics:

http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa99/...

i have never even told my parents about my problem or any of my friends....im so depressed..but will there ever be someone out there who will accept me for who i am?

Will I ever get a boyfriend with my off-putting condition?
Trust me girl, if sweaty hands are your only problem, I think you will be okay. Maybe your self esteem is what you should be worrying about. Not getting a boyfriend should be one of the farthest fears. I would recommend talking to your parents about your problem and have them take you to the doctor, maybe they can give you a prescription that can help or get rid of it. Sweaty hands is nothing to be embarassed about sweetie! Good luck!
Reply:Honey, loads of people have sweaty hands!

Don't worry, one day somebody will accept you for who you are!

Theres no need to rush in life!

Be happy and single :)

Something will ssome your way!
Reply:First, talk to your parents and have them take you to a doctor. There are some treatments available for this condition.

You will definitely be able to find someone who like s you for who you are so I wouldn't worry about that too much.

But if your condition is depressing you, definitely seek some medical help. A treatment may be only a doctor's visit away.
Reply:You're cute, so no worries there. Believe me, one of the last things that guys will worry about are sweaty palms. However, it obviously bothers you, so please speak with your parents, and ask them to take you to the dermatologist. They have a number of things that they can do to help alleviate or eliminate this problem. Dont let it inhibit you when there are ways to fix it, and remember- guys really dont care about your palms, lol.
Reply:guys don't care about stuff like that as much as girls do -- don't worry so much. maybe you could find a cute guy with sweaty hands (its not that uncommon -- there are lots of people out there with sweaty hands). its more important to be approachable then to sit back and let the world go by becuase you think everyone will reject you when they won't -- nobody is perfect.
Reply:Of course you will! The more nervous and self-conscious you get, the more your hands will sweat so take a deep breath and relax! Are there any creams you can get from the doc's to help? Even if not, it's really normal to get sweaty hands. Avoid holding hands if you prefer: put your arm around him instead.

And by the way, you are very pretty! You have lovely eyes and a great smile.
Reply:you're really cute so u won't need to worry about not looking good

secondly alot of ppl have sweaty hands but nobody notices, just don't press your hands against a desk or anything like that. because some desks leave handprints
Reply:Guys have sweaty hands too!!! They most likely won't notice much. ;)
Reply:Hey don't fret. I have insanely sweaty palms too. Youre way cuter than I was in high school (and I was voted my high schools hottie at age 15) so you're good to go! THe thing is that guys are driven towards confidence! SO being so down about this could be part of the problem...just don't become a b*tch!

Oh and of course all my bf's knew about my sweaty palms bc there was like no way around it. I always just make jokes about it bc no one is perfect and you have to have a sense of humor! A good one that I always use with a guy is that my hands get sweaty when I am nervous, so being around someone like you is intimidating... and then you just start laughing and say no honestly my hands are just always clammy.

And if youre still so worried next time u go to the DR for a checkup tell them! at your age you are considered a mature minor and they wont discuss any of this stuff w/ your parents! But actually one of your parents likely suffers from sweaty palms!!!!

Do you think I will ever get a boyfriend?

I am 15 and never had a boyfriend. I am shy and smart. I am also a very nice girl. I wouldn't say i'm THAT ugly...here are soem pictures for you to judge:

What can I do to stop sweating so much? plz help me =]?
Ask your doctor about a Rx called Drysol - its made for people who sweat a lot - but be careful, it can sting when you first put in on under your arms.
Reply:The amount you sweat is hereditary. There isn't a whole lot you can do about it. You could ask your doctor.
Reply:You do have hyperhidrosis and for many it goes away after your hormones have leveled out. I had a very bad pit %26amp; palm problem that mellow out but I am still a big time sweater. You can have a sympathectomy or a ganglion removed all of this involves a complicated explanation. If it is really as bad as you say tell your doctor and he may recomend a treatment plan and possibly surgery.
Reply:This is called hyperhydrosis. You can buy a product called Certain Dry and use it as directed. If this doesnt help, see your doctor about it.

Does anyone know of anything that can help with excess sweating?

For the past year or so, I have had a massive sweat problem- all my tops have sweat stains, and I can't remember the last time I wore just a t-shirt, because I always have to put a jumper on top to cover up the wet patches. I just found out that it's actually a medical condition called hyperhidrosis, but before I go out and spend a load of money on extra strength anti-perspirants (nomal ones do nothing), I was wondering if anyone knew of anything that worked for them?

Does anyone know of anything that can help with excess sweating?
stay in the shade
Reply:a non aluminium containing deodarant.
Reply:get DRI CLOR from the chemist its especially for that
Reply:take the meds
Reply:You can go and have a minor operation where they cut the sweat gland or something like that. Also there is a special deodorant for excessive sweating too. Think its Driclor.
Reply:You should change your name to sweaty betty
Reply:You can get a medicine, I forget what it is called, but you apply it to wherever you are sweating the most and leave it on overnight. You wipe it off in the morning. Do this about 4 times a week.

If you are interested, e-mail me and I will ask my mom (pediatrician) what it is called. I used it, and it worked really well.
Reply:Driclor should work although it can cause a sore rash if you have sensitive skin. It is available at the chemists without a prescription. If you can afford it botox injections will definitely work but are expensive and have to be repeated regularly. I very much doubt they would be available on the NHS but you could always ask your GP.
Reply:I have this problem, for years I had to buy black tops to hide the patches. The answer is a product called Driclor which you apply at night before bed. It really does work. They sell it in boots. You will not have any patches after a few applications which last a week or so. Good luck.
Reply:If you are in the UK a deodorant called Mitchum is good, can get it in most supermarkets I have used it for years as I get a lot of hot flushes and they make me sweat and its brill.
Reply:Its a major step but if you find that the deodorants don't work for you (I would definitely try them first) I have heard that botox in the armpit can really help, in fact I think it stops sweating all together for a time.
Reply:Don't know the name but the doctor can prescribe an ointment.
Reply:you can buy a roll on from any chemist, its called anhydrol forte, i use it, its excellent, can use it under arms, on hands and feet, you put it on b4 bed then was off in the morning, depending on how much you sweat depends on how often you would use it, the first couple of times it stings really bad but well worth it, have recommended it to a few of my friends.
Reply:How much salt do you have in your diet? A doctor I knew in Germany reckoned this was a big cause of this.
Reply:I have had this problem recently, I think Im starting the menopause. Anyway, I have started using an extra strength deaodorant each night. You apply it before you go to bed (apparantly you sweat less when you lie down!). In the morning you apply your normal deadorant. It builds up on your skin and it has worked for me. I applied it for approx 4 days, then I apply it every 3-4 days, and this has done the trick. Any good chemist or supermarket stocks these products, the one I used cost approx £4. Good luck
Reply:Black gooash or pyto soy nutrients may be of use, take a visit to your health food shop they will be able to advise re an aid for your condition.

Good wishes
Reply:I suffer the same problem, and it used to bring me down!

I discovered Odaban - it's an anti-perspirant similar to Driclor although I have never used both so couldn't compare the 2, but find Odaban to be successful in stopping me sweating.

http://www.odaban.com
Reply:Hi, y could try PerspireX or Dryiclor but these do irritate the

skin.

There is a new product out which works wonders and is non toxic called Alvin Connor natural balance.

It works with natural crystals and lets the skin breath at the same time. Go to Alvin Connor.com for more info.

Good luck .
Reply:Consult a doctor about this problem you can get cures now for it...

Why other people sweat on their underarms and didnt get any bad smell?

i had a problem with my underarm, that sweat minimally and stinks, i had an underarm hyperhidrosis but controlled by driclor, is it hereditary or skin infection? (the underarm odor)

i had this problem since my 1st year highschool 11 or 12 yrs old.

Why other people sweat on their underarms and didnt get any bad smell?
Well, Actually the smell your smelling is your sweat mixing with bacteria under your arms. Try to not eat food with potent odors such as garlic...etc. But, it can be hereditary. Some people aren't cursed with this stench (unlike me and you) but their ancestors must have came from a place where they didn't need to sweat that much. Hope this helped you!
Reply:Use Proactiv. 100% effective. Get the whole kit and use it as if you would use it on your face. Afterwards, use deodorant as well. I am serious Report It

Reply:It depends on your diet. I would suggest a stronger deodorant and start using Baby Powder.
Reply:I think it is somewhat hereditary and also it seems that the cause of the sweat tends to play an important role. If it is from anxiety it tends to have a much greater odor than if it is from exertion. I have found that using a gel extra dry deodorant is very effective.
Reply:I have hyperhisrosis also, but no smell, I wear 2 types of deodorant, Mitchoum, which dries it up pretty good and then one that has a fresh scent, and it usually works pretty good. I dont think its hereditary b/c know one in my family has it, but to me, when your worried about it it gets worse and hard to control, I have it on my palms also and thats really tuff to control, I've just learned to live with it, cant afford to have my sweat glands removed just yet.
Reply:First of all, brush up on your grammar, it makes the question hard to understand. and now on to your problem, underarm odor is caused not by the sweat but by outside bacteria mingling with your sweat turning the bodily oils in your sweat rancid making them smell and attracting even more bacteria,,,,,, have you tried bathing daily or not wearing the same clothes twice? if yes and if that doesn't help maybe you have overactive sweat glands and medication is actually the only way to go,,,, sorry
Reply:That underarm smell is primarily cause by bacteria dwelling in your skin. Your diet also affects your body odor, food such as garlic increase the strength of these body odors.
Reply:I tell ya, I swear by ZINC!!! I used to shower and still feel yukky. No deodorant seem to help. Then I read in a Vitamin book about Zinc. It works, I swear. It's also great for clearing up pimples. And you ladies with sore boobies during "that time", use Vitamin E. Your boobies will be touchable, painfree, and you can sleep on your stomach!!!!!
Reply:probably because thhe sweat gland is not working properly, which then results in no smell.

This is gross but I have sweaty hands & feet..?

My feet always slip out of shoes/sandals! Does anyone have any remedies for this? and also for hands? I've tried putting antipersprant on and sprayign my shoes w/ hairspray so they kinda stick and don't slip as much, but I need something better b/c it is gross and annoying! Before anyone mentions hyperhidrosis, already researched it-lots of money...

This is gross but I have sweaty hands %26amp; feet..?
I have the same problem! I'm embarrased to shake hands with people and my feet always slip out of shoes/sandals too!

i asked this question here. maybe their answers may help you

Ans1: you may want to go to your doctor and check your iron.

you may be low in iron (found in green leafy vegetables, meat, and some iron enriched cereals - corn flakes etc)

Ans2:depends on how sweaty your talking..if your talking extreme sweatyness all the time then you might need sugery to remove sweat glands...

Ans3:you can use deodorant - or if it is persistant ask your doc..

Ans4:Hi, I'm a tennis player and there's a great product called Dry Grip you should try. Tennis or golf shops often carry it, or you can get it online.

It works great for sweaty palms.

I chose answer 1 as my best bec I think it's true, I'm a bit anemic
Reply:Rare, but not freakishly rare. I suggest you make an appointment with a dermatologist.
Reply:You could try goldbond body powder. that would probably help alot.
Reply:for the shoes put some activated charcoal in the shoes, also some baking soda

for the internal take some chlorphyll and activated charocoal.
Reply:Not to be a downer, but my friend has lupus, they found it because of excessive sweating in her hands and feet. I would ask your doctor and go over a good family history with him just to make sure it is not something bigger. My solution is Goldbond powder though... that stuff is great.

Is there a way to cure my pams sweating?

palmar hyperhidrosis

Is there a way to cure my pams sweating?
Hyperhidrosis can be caused by food allergies, or a mineral/vitamin deficiency. I had the ETS surgery done, it's very expensive.

I had hyperhidrosis (and a few other symptoms) for many years and went through all the usual treatments.

Anticholinergic drugs, applying topical solutions, botox, and ETS surgery. The surgery was most helpful but several

years later hyperhidrosis began to return.

Years later I was diagnosed with celiac disease, along with a few food allergies. I eliminated wheat, dairy, and

sugar from my diet and stopped all prescriptions. I began taking supplements:

- Vitamin B complex

Contains 50mg of every B vitamin plus Folic Acid

- Mineral complex

Contains Magnesium, Calcium, Iron, Zinc, etc.

You can see the rest of my story here:

Check out this article about hyperhidrosis, grains, and sugars. Scroll about halfway down the page.

Some information about celiac disease

(This is not the cause of hyperhidrosis but caused my food allergies and mineral/vitamin malabsorption)

Reply:I don't know TOO much about it, but I do remember reading in a magazine recently to actually rub deoderant on your hands throughout the day---obviously I would suggest a non-fragrant one!
Reply:"pams?????"

Have you tried the new secret clinical strength deodorant?

If so, is it as strong as other brands such as certain-dri. I suffer from hyperhidrosis and would like to know if this is strong enough for heavy sweating.

Have you tried the new secret clinical strength deodorant?
I also have hyperhidrosis. The secret clinical strength do not work that well. I have tried it. The deodorant that works for me is the new Dove ultimate clear cool essentials. It smells great and keep my underarms sweat free. Maybe you should try it.

Hope this helps.
Reply:i would go with something organic and more naturally made because an indgredient in secret's deodrant helps increase your risk of cancer.
Reply:i havent tried certain dri, but ive been using the secret and i havent noticed a difference, ive been ptting it on for a week . the thing is, it's white so you have to be careful when putting clothes on, which is probably why its used at night.

Am i having an allergic reaction to my medicine?

hi, i have a condition called hyperhidrosis and my doctor gave me medicine to take, it is called glycopyrrolate and i was wondering could this cause an allergic reaction? i dont take it everyday but the days i do take it, my skin gets really itchy- especially on my face. that may sound strange but it has been happening after i started taking this medicine, so could it be the medicine? has anyone else had this problem? please help if you can, thanks :)

Am i having an allergic reaction to my medicine?
Hi , you need to stop a acceptance this medication. Robinul® (generic name: glycopyrrolate) is good oral drug used for hyperhidrosis problems, but you have side effect, allergic reaction is frequent phenomena for glycopyrrolate. You can have also a dry mouth or dry throat often leading to pain in these areas.

Hyperhidrosis can usually be treated, but there is no cure.

You can use Aluminum chloride (hexahydrate) solution: Common brands of aluminum cholride solution (as anti-perspirant) include "MegaDry®" (which uses a non-irritating blend of aluminum chlorohydrate), Drysol®, CertainDri®, Odaban®, and Driclor®.

Or other oral drugs to treat the condition for example: propantheline bromide (Probanthine®) and benztropine (Cogentin®), also Zoloft®, often help alleviate symptoms. I would recommend a discussed with your doctor.

Jason Homan
Reply:Itchy irritated skin is one of the most common allergic reactions to anything. Since it sounds like you have noticed it happening right after the medication, I would suspect it could be the cause. Read the paperwork your pharmacist gave with the medication, or give him a call first. I would definately contact the doctor.
Reply:Here are some links but I think you should call your doctor and tell him this.

http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/drugi...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glycopyrrol...
Reply:Ask your doctor for syde effects and see if they match. Try going on the internet and searching up the medication name. Also, if you see any swelling, go to the doctor immediately. An allergy can flare up with continious use, and even make your tongue and throat swell up, making it hard to breathe! Ask your doctor if it a bad sign, and maybe he can switch your medications!

Sweaty hands! HELP ME NOW?

Okay my hands only sweat when i get really nervouse or when someone is about to shake or hold my hand. I know that the person is about to shake my hand and hope my hands wont sweat and then they start to. I cant even go to church because im so embarrassed.. is this normal and does anybody here have the same thing? anything to get rid of this.. please help me PS ( i no its not hyperhidrosis )

Sweaty hands! HELP ME NOW?
Well my dad and cousin both have sweaty hands, or had sweaty hands that like only a few people in my family ever get from jeans, but they sweat all the time, they had surgery like by their armpits that stopped their hands and feet and even armpits from sweating, like totally, only when its super hot will they barely sweat.
Reply:uhh. i think i have a sweating condition in my armpits, but f or your hands idk. you have to talk to your doctor.

i only sometimes sweat in my hands

mint

What do you do for excessive sweating??????

okay.. so i know that sweating is normal... i have a condition called hyperhidrosis.. (excessive sweating).. some people have the sweating in their hands, feet, thighs, but i have it in my armpits....and i would like to know some of the things i could do to help slow down the sweating... and no.. changing deoderants will not help... believe me i have tried... it is embarrasing and i need some thing to help before prom comes!!!! please help soon...

What do you do for excessive sweating??????
I have hyperhidrosis too and I know how embarrassing it can be. Go to doctor and get Drysol. You only use it once a week at night and a bottle will last about a year. It will completely stop your sweating the first time you use it. It can be used on any part of your body and cost about $14. I promise you it will work.
Reply:try to relax more and worry less.
Reply:A healthy diet with plenty of fruit, veg too but mainly fruit really helps. I know this for a fact. You don't necessarily need to cut other things out of your diet but regular gentle exercise will also help. After a week of eating well you will see the difference in how much you sweat, believe me.
Reply:I know that you said switching deodorants wouldn't work. Deodorants don't stop people from sweating, Antiperspirants do.
Reply:just try to relax maybe listen to some calming music
