Sweaty palms?

I have this thing that I've had for several years called hyperhidrosis which is basically just that my hands sweat like crazy for no reason. I'm not nervous or hot or anything, my hands just sweat. They sweat all the time, but especially when my hands have to be clenched. I'm constantly wiping my hands and I try to avoid handshakes. It's really embarrassing. Someday I want to get surgerey but can't afford it now. does anyone else have this prob. or does anyone know What I can do in the meantime?

Sweaty palms?
Sweaty palms/ better term/moist palms!

I have lived with what I call moist palms all of my life!

Also I have cold hands and a warm heart.

I seem to be calm cool and collected.

I guess this my nervous outlet!

It is probably genetic?????

Ancestors from northern Great Britain????

I say just live with it!

It is a minor thing!

We can still live a carefree life.

It is our secret!
Reply:No I don't have this problem but if I did I would try applying powder to my hands esp. if I knew a handshake was comingup. Or I would try an unscented antiperspirant
Reply:My sympathy. I had this problem well into adulthood but it vanished and I can't even remember when.

Maybe it will just 'go-away' as minbe did. Meanwhile, 'don't sweat it'.
Reply:other than surgery, wiping your hands is best. Instead of shaking hands try to be courteous by just holding your hands behind your back in a nice manner and politely acknowledge the person with a smile and a nod. If you have a business card, you may want to give them that in their hand instead of a shake. I don't know what else. Save money for your surgery too.
